THREAD

Threads thickness is defined from numbers - the finer thread the higher number. Traditionally good quality shirts starts from 80's yarn. Today standard thread of Su Misura shirts are made of 100/120's, two ply.

ONE-PLY

Weaving one thread in warp with one thread in weft.
This allows a wide variety of patterns at reasonable prices.

TWO-PLY

Two individual threads are twisted together to make one yarn and tightly woven creating a smooth strong fabric.
This luxurious and durable quality requires long fibres, such as Egyptian cotton.
